Ein Dresdner Luftfahrt-Verein möchte sich vorstellen

Der SKYBIRD - Pro Luftfahrt e.V. hat seinen Sitz in Dresden.
Der Verein wurde im Mai 1999 gegründet und im September des gleichen Jahres in das Vereinsregister eingetragen.
Die Anfänge des Vereins reichen bis ins Jahr 1990 zurück.
Damals als SKYBIRD Interessengemeinschaft gegründet, konnte in den den letzten Jahren wieder ein fester Stamm von aktiven Mitgliedern aufgebaut werden.
Einer Vereinsgründung stand nichts mehr im Wege.
Momentan hat der Verein 10 Mitglieder, die sich für die vielfältigen Bereiche der Luftfahrt interessieren.
Dabei steht nicht eine möglichst hohe Anzahl von Mitgliedern im Vordergrund.
Vielmehr möchte der Verein als überschaubare Gruppe von aktiven Mitgliedern gemeinsame Ziele und Ideen verwirklichen und seinen Mitgliedern eine Plattform für ihr Hobby bieten.

Die Mitglieder des SKYBIRD e.V. beschäftigen sich zum einen mit der Dokumentation der Luftfahrtgeschichte und Luftfahrtindustrie, besonders in Sachsen.
Dazu gehört das Sammeln von Luftfahrtliteratur, Publikationen, Bildmaterial und Postkarten, bis hin zu Gegenständen und Flugzeugmodellen.
Zum anderen ist es die Luftfahrtfotografie, in Insiderkreisen auch als „spotten“ bekannt.
Das Interesse für die Luftfahrt und für bestimmte Flugzeugtypen wird mit dem Fotografieren verbunden.
Dabei zählen seltene, ältere oder neue Flugzeugtypen der verschiedenen Fluggesellschaften oder Flugzeuge in Sonderbemalungen zu den begehrten Fotomotiven.

Der SKYBIRD e.V. möchte aber auch das Interesse und Verständnis für die Luftfahrt in der Öffentlichkeit und bei offiziellen Stellen fördern.
Es werden Fotos oder Textbeiträge für Luftfahrtzeitschriften, wie z.B. „Jetstream“, „Luftfahrt-Journal“ „Flughafen aktuell“ oder dem Flughafenmagazin „VIA“ geliefert.
Zahlreiche Kontakte bestehen zu anderen Luftfahrtenthusiasten, Institutionen und Flughäfen.
Die Bennennung der Zufahrtsstraße zum neuen Terminal in Wilhemine-Reichard-Ring wurde auf Anregung eines Vereinsmitgliedes vom Dresdener Stadtrat einstimmig angenommen.

Der Verein arbeitet eng mit dem Flughafen Dresden zusammen. Die Situation für das Hobby ist schwierig, da viele ehemalige Fotopositionen durch Bebauung verschwunden sind. Durch den folgenden Bau der neuen Startbahn zwischen alter Runway und dem Flughafenzaun wird die Situation auch nächster Zeit nicht einfacher.

Etwa aller zwei Monate treffen sich die Mitglieder zur Klärung organisatorischer Fragen oder zur Mitgliederversammlung.
Im Mittelpunkt steht der Austausch von Informationen, Fotos und Dias werden gezeigt, sowie die nächsten Aktivitäten geplant.
Unternommen werden Fahrten zu Airshows und Tauschtreffen, aber auch ein- oder mehrtägige Fototouren zu anderen Flughäfen in Europa.
Grillabende und andere spontane Treffen gibt es ebenfalls.

The SKYBIRD Aviation Club Dresden

The SKYBIRD club has his seat in Dresden.
The organization was founded in May 1999 and registered with the organization register in September the same year.

On the one hand, the members of SKYBIRD registered association deal with the documentation of the aviation history and aviation industry particularly in Saxony.
Collecting aviation literature, publications pictorial material and postcards up to objects and airplane models is part of it.
On the other hand, it is the aviation photography, confessed in insider circles also as "spotting".
The interest for the aviation and for certain airplane types gets connected to taking a photograph.
At it rare, old or new airplane types of the different airline companies or airplanes belong to the popular photo motives into special paintings.

However, SKYBIRD registered association also would like to promote the interest and appreciation of the aviation in the public and at official places.
The photos or text contributions can be seen or be read in aviation magazines like "Jetstream" or "Flughafen aktuell" as well in the airport neighborhood newspaper.
There are numerous contacts to other aviation enthusiasts, institutions and airports.
The Bennennung of the access road to the new terminal in Wilhemine-Reichard ring was accepted unanimously by the Dresden town council on suggestion of a club member.

The organization cooperates narrowly with Dresden airport. The situation for the hobby is difficult since many former photo positions have disappeared by buildings. The situation of also next time doesn't get the followings making of the new runway between old of Runway and the airport fence by simple.

The members meet approximately bi-monthly to the clarification of organizational questions or to the member meeting.
The exchange of information is in the center, photos and slides are pointed as well as the next activities planned.
Journeys to air shows and exchange meeting but also one or several days of photo tours are done to other airports in Europe.
There also are grill evenings and other spontaneous meetings.
